Principles for Newcomers and Current Members: |

It is
imperative that we follow the ‘Old Ways’ so that we protect what
we have been taught and further by not overwhelming newcomers with a
wealth of knowledge that they would not be able to absorb all at once. Our coven is in a ‘unique’ position; it's three founder members all have a true-craft upbringing, from three different paths and consequently, between them, have a wealth of knowledge from their respective pathways. I appreciate that for some people; they may wish to follow all three paths, however, this would be totally and utterly impractical as there is no benefit from a person drawing a mix of information from differing pathways and then throwing all the information together to form an ‘off-the-cuff’ path. Our Coven Procedures: Seeker: However
they find the coven, whether from a site or by being known to an
existing member; a seeker will firstly be met on neutral ground by at
least two of the three elders. They may then, if agreed, be
invited to attend a Meet & Greet, held at the coven-stead Dedicancy
& Initiation: The seeker, having been regularly attending Sabbats, is invited to
undertake their Dedicant & Initiate ceremony to the Coven. By
this stage, the newcomer has been truly accepted by the Coven, has build
up sustainable relationships with its members and wishes to receive more
craft knowledge by developing themselves Discussion: The
Initiate is now ready to receive more information. At the next available
Sabbat, the three Elders will provide a short presentation on
each of the respective paths Choice: The
Initiate is now given as much time as they require to absorb all that they have received before
they make their choice to path Path: Once
a Path is chosen, the Elder for that pathway will hold a meeting on
a 1:1 basis to be certain of the Initiate’s views and mode.
